Terms of Service
Last updated May 2026
By installing or using Heirloom, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Heirloom does
Heirloom is a personal-use tool for restoring old photographs. You provide a photo from your device; the app sends it through our processing backend, and returns a restored version.
Your account and identifier
The app does not require an account. Subscription state is tied to an anonymous identifier generated on your device. If you reinstall the app, your subscription can be restored from the Play Store or App Store using the "Restore purchase" option.
Acceptable use
- You may restore photos you own or have permission to process.
- You may use restored photos for personal, family, and non-commercial purposes.
- You may not use Heirloom to restore photos for resale or commercial reuse without separate written permission.
- You may not use the app to process photos that depict illegal content.
Subscription, free trial, and billing
- Heirloom offers an annual, monthly, and lifetime plan, plus a 7-day free trial. Pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- During the free trial, you may restore up to a daily limit of photos. After the trial, the subscription you selected will begin unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel anytime in your Google Play account (or App Store account, for iOS users).
- Refund requests are handled by Google Play / Apple per their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
Restoration results
AI-restored photographs are computer-generated approximations. The output may introduce artifacts, alter likenesses, or differ from the original in subtle ways. Heirloom makes no guarantee that restored photos will be historically accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. Do not rely on restored images as evidence of fact.
Availability
The app depends on third-party services (Fal.ai, Replicate, Cloudflare, Google Play). We do our best to keep Heirloom available, but we may pause, change, or discontinue parts of the service without notice. If a paid subscription is interrupted by our service for an extended period, contact support and we will work with you on a fair resolution.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Heirloom is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye.
